Cookie problem

Post by Red Squirrel »

Is anyone else having a problem with cookies on this board?

It just started happening to me now, and I know it's a common IPB 2.0 issue. I accidentally cleared all my cookies last night when i wanted to view them instead, so it's my first time logging in since the upgrade (I think...) so I'm thinking the problem may have to do with the login script or something.

I did have cookie problems when I had to log in after the upgrade. It turns out that adding the “www” part to my bookmarks solved it. Hopefully it’s something that simple for you. :)

Unfortunatly not. There's the same problem on Andy's site and he has the same version. One of these days I'll have to completely rewrite the login script. IB 2.0 code is horrible to work with, almost as bad as vbulletin. 1.x was so much better, not sure why they changed their coding.

you did fix it over at my place but sense the new code you've written i have no quote boxes. so i guess you got to lose one to gain one :)

Also AOL users cannot access the logging part .

Did it? since it never changed anything for me, and not sure how it would affect quote boxes. Interestoing.

I was doing a cleanup and found a cookie behind my lazer printer. I have no clue how it got there, or how long it even was there, but think it was a good two years.

Me too! Eat enough of 'em and if you weren't regular before, you'll soon be able to set your watch by your episodes of poo expulsion. Oh, and cashews... eat lots and lots of cashews. The remarkable thing is that you'll still be pooping out nutty turds days after you stopped eating them.
