New PC

Post by MikeDB »

So I was able to build a new PC for under $375.

Here's what it's got;

ASUS F1A55-M LX Plus
AMD A4-3400
Wintec One (2x4GB) 1600Mhz
Antec Basiq Power 350W
Some really cheap DVD Burner
and my old 250GB HDD from my dell
plus a copy of Win7

I was able to grab Win 7 64 Bit for $120 I probably paid the most on the OS, I was able to get a case that I used to own from a buddy of mine for a pack of smokes and a few beers.

It's low end, but seems to hold its own. Does pretty darn well, it can actually run Minecraft! The Dell barely could.

I'm happy, I don't think many people have been able to build a PC for this cheap that can push out this good of performance it seems to be able to run much other more modern games. But i'm more excited about photoshop CS5. :D

I just ordered parts for a new PC. Stuff is more expensive here though, so it came up to over 2k.

Can't wait for everything to come in! Decided it was time to splurge, have not done it in a while.

And hi Wren!

Oh, what fun you will have. It's good to splurge sometime. :banana: We will need pics when you are done. Processor sounds good but I'm partial to Intel. :biglaugh: You have done well for yourself and you deserve a new pc...go Red. :awesome:

I've always done it, but this time I actually decided to just buy it. Funny thing is I'm not even using it as my main OS. I kinda feel bad for spending the money when I did not really have to. I only boot into it for gaming. I'm really enjoying Linux so far. There's still a few things I need to figure out how to get working like my scanner. Also if I buy another phone I need to ensure it shows up as a USB device and does not require some stupid software.
