Sunbeamtech Quarterback Mid Tower @ pro-clockers.com [Aug-08-08] (0 Comments) I do a lot of case reviews as the junior reviewer at Pro-Clockers. Itdoesn't bother me, because I've got a case fetish of sorts. In its owntwisted way it works out fine for everyone involved. Over the years, I'veowned big cases, small cases, weird cases and modded cases. To be honest, Ichange cases more than some men change shirts. The last few years, I settledin with the Antec Sonata II. It's a great case and did what I needed it todo. However, I changed it for the Aerocool AE Plus last month. Always asucker for big fans, the Aerocool drew me in. After trying out theSunbeamtech Quarterback, I switched again. My main rig is now happily housedin the slightly odd, yet highly functional Quarterback. Read on to see why Ichanged cases. Sunbeamtech Core Contact Freezer - XSs @ xsreviews.co.uk [Aug-06-08] (0 Comments) Youcan see all manner of designs and technology these days on CPU coolersranging from the weird and wonderful, to the more conservative andstylish. But it is the technologies behind the cooling that matters themost to any hardware enthusiast. One technology that has offeredimpressive performance in the past is the HDT design, where theheatpipes actually touch the CPU. This should deliver greater andfaster dissipation due to increased contact between the heat transportcomponents, in this case the heatpipes and the core. One product that has this tech and wishes to use it to create somehopefully great results, is the Sunbeamtech Core Contact Freezer. Letstake this one for a spin and see how its does. [News] SunbeamTech Core Contact Freezer CPU Cooler @ virtual-hideout.net [Jul-31-08] (0 Comments) After tabulating the results, CPU temps are kept well within veryreasonable levels across the entire spectrum of testing. While standardsystem use is really good, at a full 1GHz overclock, we start to see thelimitations of copper and heat pipes as is the case with most every aircooler. Above these frequencies, most every cooler starts to suffer simplydue to physics. If you're cranking out the insane frequencies beyond this, you'll naturally want to consider water cooling. The speed and ease of theinstallation coupled with the performance have me considering recommendingthe SunbeamTech Core Contact Freezer as the ideal cooler for those who buildgaming or performance systems. Sunbeamtech Core-Contact Freezer @ bit-tech.net [Jul-16-08] (0 Comments) *Contact coolers, where the heatpipes are in /direct contact/ with the processor's heat spreader are becoming more and more popular, and today's heatsink review is a prime example of this new approach to heatsink design. Sunbeamtech 9-Bay Acrylic Case @ hardwaresecrets.com [Jul-15-08] (0 Comments) Are you interested in an all-acrylic case for your system? Today we took a look on Sunbeamtech’s 9-bay acrylic case (AC-9B-HUVB). Sunbeamtech Core Contact @ pro-clockers.com [Jul-02-08] (0 Comments) Today, Sunbeamtech threatened the cooling industry leaders with itslatest offering, The Core Contact. It is made up of four large diameter heatpipes that make contact with the HIS of the processor, the same speedy heatdissipation technology that a lot of cooler manufacturers have been adoptingrecently. So let's take a look at how it fares against two of our favoritethe Thermalright Ultra-120 and the Noctua U12P. SilenX iXtrema IXC-120HA2 CPU Cooler @ tweaktown.com [Jun-27-08] (0 Comments) A few weeks ago we looked at the Sunbeamtech Core-Contact Freezer, our first crack at a heatpipe to Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS) direct contact CPU heatsink. In retrospect, nothing other than the base was very remarkable; at least nothing that would lead us to believe anything other than the contact point would cause such great performance. The fan used from Sunbeamtech was a silent type that does not push a large amount of air, and this only confirmed that direct heatpipe to CPU technology is more than just a marketing tool.Today we will be looking at another direct contact cooler, this time from SilenX. The SilenX iXtrema IXC-120HA2 is very similar to the SBT CCF; they even share the same mounting hardware. While the two are similar, they are not identical. The SilenX version is more robust, giving us the option of using two 120mm fans (one on each side of the fins). This is a feature that SBT did not include with their offering. Sunbeam SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 Adapter @ techpowerup.com [May-15-08] (0 Comments) Sunbeam has come out with a nice tool that solves the mystery of how to handle multiple formats of hard drives. Tuniq TX-2 Thermal Compound @ rbmods.com [Feb-27-08] (0 Comments) When we think about achieving better cooling performance, we oftenfocus on hardware solutions. However, the quality of the thermalcompound/paste that interfaces between the chips and the cooler is anothercritical factor in getting better cooling performance from your cooler.Today we'll take a look at a new thermal compound from Tuniq, well-knownmakers of a variety of cooling solutions, known TX-2. Will this productstand up against the incumbents in the market? We will attempt to answerthat question in today's review. Sunbeam Acrylic HTPC Case @ techpowerup.com [Feb-19-08] (0 Comments) Today we takes a look at the new Acrylic HTPC case from Sunbeam. Recently, they decided to create a new version called the Rheobus Extreme which has six channels and can support up to 30 W per channel. Each channel has a clear knob that glows blue, and the brightness changes with the fan speed setting. We take a look at this new fan controller and put it to the test. Tuniq Tower 120 Ultra Silent CPU Cooler @ rbmods.com [Feb-08-08] (0 Comments) One thing that is common with most CPU coolers that use air coolingis that they typically include a fan. We've seen all kinds of fan mounts-either horizontal or vertical, and on all sides of the cooler. But whatabout sticking the fan in the middle of the cooler? Tuniq, makers of a widevariety of computer products, has produced a new cooler, the Tuniq Tower 120CPU cooler, that does just that. Will this unique design result in coolerperformance? Let's find out in this review. Sunbeamtech Rheobus Extreme @ pro-clockers.com [Jan-28-08] (0 Comments) Sunbeamtech, the makers of fine cooling and nice cases, has anothergadget up their sleeve. The new Rheobus Extreme is not only simple and sleekwith its clean looks, and the blue glow of the six knobs goes well withanybody with blue LED lighting, but the best thing the Rheobus Extreme hasto offer is the ability to support up to 30 watts on each control. For thenovice out there, this means simply you can control multiple fans on eachchannel. A must for anybody with large cases with numerous fans. Sunbeamtech Quarterback Mid Tower Case @ pro-clockers.com [Dec-04-07] (0 Comments) I do a lot of case reviews as the junior reviewer at Pro-Clockers. Itdoesn't bother me, because I've got a case fetish of sorts. In its owntwisted way it works out fine for everyone involved. Sunbeam Tuniq Mini Plant 950W @ techpowerup.com [Nov-29-07] (0 Comments) Sunbeam's Mini Plant is a wolf in sheep's clothing. The PSU comes in an ATX standard sized casing but offers up to 950W of power. With most other manufacturers this means that the PSU fan will be very loud, not with the Mini Plant. Actually the fan is the quietest we ever tested in the 900W+ segment, you can almost not hear it, even under load. Sunbeam Tuniq Ensemble 1200W @ techpowerup.com [Nov-24-07] (0 Comments) The Tuniq Ensemble is Sunbeam's latest high-end PSU offering. It comes in at a whooping 1200 Watts with a large number of connectors included. For all your SLI/CrossFire needs you have two PCI-E 6-pin and two PCI-E 8-pin connectors available. Sunbeam has focused on making this a stable and efficient power supply and did a great job, the efficiency rating during our testing is well above 83%. 4-way Thermal Interface Material Roundup @ tweaktown.com [Nov-13-07] (0 Comments) Recently, we have been seeing an influx of nonmetallic materials hitting the market and they are all claiming to be able to beat the king. Our recent review of the MX-2 product from Arctic Cooling showed that there was more than just a little truth in these claims. The MX-2 compound is completely non-conductive material and was able to keep a processor cooler than the Arctic Silver 5 compound used as a comparative product. Today we have two more products to add to the list of those who want your TIM dollars, A.I. Technologies and Tuniq (a subsidiary of Sunbeam). Both have TIM products that are making the same bold claims we have already been hearing, so it is time for a little direct comparison. After taking a look at the two newcomers, we will go forward in a head to head... to head... to head (whew) competition and see just how these products all compare to each other. Sunbeam Tuniq 3 Mid-Tower Case @ thinkcomputers.org [Nov-03-07] (0 Comments) Sunbeam started out producing the best CCFLs on the market, and nowproduces all kinds of modding supplies and gadgets, cases, excellent powersupplies, and other building items. This is the third Sunbeam Case I haveowned, the first one from their Tuniq division. The Tuniq division ofSunbeam consists of some of their more experienced employees, and focuses onadding fashion and high function. Presently, they make Tuniq branded cases, power supplies, CPU coolers, hard drive silencer/coolers, and thermalcompound. Sunbeam UFO Acrylic Cube Case @ techpowerup.com [Oct-03-07] (0 Comments) The UFO Acrylic Cube case from Sunbeam has a lot of unique features for a clear plastic case. The cube design is unlike other clear cases I've seen, and its compact size makes it great for smaller systems or users with space restrictions. There is a large amount of Sunbeamtech Freezing Storm Case @ gideontech.com [Sep-14-07] (0 Comments) These last few weeks I have been working hard on a couple of Sunbeamtech cases. The first one we are going to take a good look at is the Freezing Storm. The case comes with numerous 120mm fans, 10 drive bays, and a pre-cut side window with fan vents to manage anything you throw at it. The Freezing Storm comes in two colors, silver and black. Today, we have the black version on our testing station. Tuniq TX-2 Thermal Compound @ techpowerup.com [Sep-01-07] (0 Comments) Tuniq launches a new thermal compound that should be available September 10, 2007. We put it to the test against Arctic Silver 5 and the older TX-1 compound to see how easy it is to work with, how easy it cleans up and how well it performs. Sunbeam Freezing Storm PC Case @ thinkcomputers.org [Aug-17-07] (0 Comments) Surely you've heard of Sunbeamtech by now. Sunbeam and I go back along ways, over 5 years. My first CCFL was by Sunbeam, which was the productthat got them started. They were by far the best on the market, and stillare. Today, I am reviewing the Sunbeamtech Freezing storm. As you mightimagine by the name, the Freezing Storm is designed for some extremecooling. We'll see during the course of the review what Sunbeamtech has doneto help keep your rig cool. SunbeamTech UV UFO Acrylic Cube @ xtremecomputing.co.uk [Aug-05-07] (0 Comments) Well Sunbeamtech have been around for a few years and have offered some great products, from cases, to lights and even lighted feet for your case. Also they are responsible for the Tuniq cooler under the brand of Tuniq, So when I heard they had released a UV version of their cube I decided to drop them a line and get one in for review. Sunbeamtech Quarterback ATX Case @ bigbruin.com [Jul-31-07] (0 Comments) Sunbeamtech is one of the many manufacturers that regularly releases new cases to keep up with a rapidly changing market. One of their latest models, the Quarterback, is an ATX midtower style case that includes many of the features that computer enthusiasts want, while also including a few unique touches. Sunbeam Silent Whisper @ techpowerup.com [Jul-21-07] (0 Comments) Not everyone can afford the latest and greatest heatsink on the market. Some users are stuck with the noisy stock coolers that are lacking in performance. What else can the user do? We take a look at a new entry level heatsink from Sunbeam called the Silent Whisper. At just $19.99, the budget-minded consumer might just have a reason to get rid of the stock heatsink. Sunbeamtech Silent Whisper CPU cooler @ pro-clockers.com [Jul-19-07] (0 Comments) There is something good to be said for a near-silent pc, but I don'thave one. Even as I write this, the steady hum of my computer fans drone on.My friends can't stand my computer room for more than a half an hour. Thesound drives them crazy. It doesn't bother me personally. I used to workwith children for a living and I can ignore pretty much any sound. Not tomention, I've always set performance over comfort when it comes to cooling. However, for the sake of friendship, I decided to look into silent or nearsilent PC cooling. Coincidentally, Sunbeamtech have sent a Silent WhisperCPU cooler for review. The Silent Whisper is a supposedly near silent CPUcooler for the budget minded enthusiast. At $19.99 on some online stores, the Silent Whisper is very affordable, but how does it perform? Let's findout. Sunbeam Tuniq Tower @ techpowerup.com [Jul-18-07] (0 Comments) The Sunbeam Tuniq tower is one of the largest heatsinks around, with a 120mm fan sandwiched between two rows of aluminum fins. The three U-shaped copper heatpipes carry away the heat from the copper base, and the included fan controller allows the user to dial in the fan speed and noise to their liking. The Tuniq Tower goes on the test bench to see what kind of performance this monster can give. [News] SunbeamTech Freezing Storm ATX Enclosure @ virtual-hideout.net [Jul-02-07] (0 Comments) In this review we get the chance to look over a new enclosure fromSunBeam Tech. This enclosure is named the Freezing Storm... Brrrrrr! Theenclosure comes in Silver and Black and has a windowed panel. Some of thefeatures include the Double Core-Fan design and tool free installation. Thisfeature makes install a breeze and speaking of breeze, the internal fansshould keep things on the cool side. [News] Tuniq 3 Chassis @ virtual-hideout.net [Jun-26-07] (0 Comments) SunbeamTech/Tuniq has always offered unique and well-builtenclosures. Personally, with the Tuniq 3 I like how the front bezel curvesunder the front of the enclosure, as well as the cleanness of the bezelitself. Nothing is on the front of the bezel except the Tuniq name - this inconjunction with the smooth, clean lines makes for a modern lookingenclosure. Sunbeam 3D Storm @ techpowerup.com [Jun-23-07] (0 Comments) One of the things I like about the Sunbeam 3D Storm case is the mesh front with washable open-cell foam to help keep dust from entering the system. The black mesh and the silver aluminum add a subtle touch of class to the case and give it a lot of style. The 3D Core Fan system adds greater flexibility to the positioning of the fans, as well as supporting up to four 120 mm fans. The Core Fan system works very well to help reduce component temperatures, especially with passively cooled components. Tuniq 3 Tower @ pro-clockers.com [Jun-04-07] (0 Comments) I'm a sucker for a good looking case. Heck, I could write an entirearticle listing all of the cases I've fallen in love with through the years.Yet, I'm fairly picky when it comes to upgrading my cases. A case prettymuch has to have it all before I'll put my components in it:goodaesthetics, great features and plenty of room. Today, I'm reviewing theTuniq 3 from Tuniq, a division of Sunbeamtech. With a 'revolutionary'cooling system, ample room and a beautiful brushed aluminum front panel, theTuniq 3 could very well find a permanent place in my computer room. Tuniq 3 Case @ xyzcomputing.com [May-23-07] (0 Comments) This time around we will be focusing on the Tuniq 3, a steel mid-tower from the same people who make Sunbeam products. The Tuniq series generally has a more refined design than those from the parent company and is aimed more at consumers who prefer the looks of Lian Li to that of Thermaltake. The case is steel, not aluminum like its more expensive competition, but it has that sort of high-end flavor to it that more and more people are searching for. Sunbeam Quarterback @ techpowerup.com [May-11-07] (0 Comments) The Sunbeam Quarterback is a midtower ATX case with tool-less drive bays and PCI slots, Core Fan system, VGA vent and a side window. The front bezel adds a door that makes the case look as muscular as a quarterback, which definitely adds to its style. Tuniq 3 Case @ hardwarelogic.com [Apr-23-07] (0 Comments) Ever heard of Tuniq? If so, you probably associate them with their Tower 120 CPU heatsink, but they also make cases, and today take a peek at their new Tuniq 3 enclosure. Can this Sunbeamtech company shine in a crowded case market, or is it lights out for their newest chassis? Sunbeamtech UFO Acrylic Cube Case @ windows-1250 [Apr-09-07] (0 Comments) Are you looking for a project? Are you short on room? Do you want toshow off your inner components? If your answers to these three questions areyes then this case is for you. The Sunbeamtech UFO Acrylic Cube Case is asmall cube blank canvas for those that are into projects and have componentsthat they want to show off to others. Is this the case for you? Could be,but we will leave that decision to you. [News] SunbeamTech UFO Acrylic Cube Case @ virtual-hideout.net [Apr-05-07] (0 Comments) In this article I will be reviewing the UFO Acrylic Case fromSunbeam. This case is 100% clear and comes in a low profile cube. Two levelsoffer easy installation of components, and it even has some extra room forwatercooling gear. The UFO Acrylic Cube case also comes with two clear 120mmfans with blue LED's. If you plan on showing off your prized hardware inthis clear case, I would suggest getting some hard drive enclosures and niceoptical drive to compliment the other hardware, as everyone will be able tosee everything. [News] Sunbeam Quarterback ATX Chassis @ virtual-hideout.net [Feb-08-07] (0 Comments) The construction is simple, clean, and presents good air flowdespite its size. At its current $60.00 average, the price is pretty closeto the cost per feature ratio. A couple quick changes would make it a reallygood deal not to mention improve its appearance. SunbeamTech Freezing Storm @ pro-clockers.com [Feb-02-07] (0 Comments) Sunbeam has bee offer well made PC accessories for the budget mindedcomputer enthusiast and modders for some time now, offering everything fromcomputer chassis all the way down to case fans and just about everythingin-between. Today we are going t be looking at one of their newer offeringsin their computer chassis line, the Freezing Storm. The Freezing Storm isbased on the same basic chassis design as Sunbeam Techs Silent Storm, butwith a new front bezel design that allows much better air flow through thecase, thus the name Sunbeam 9-Bay Acrylic Case @ thinkcomputers.org [Jan-17-07] (0 Comments) Sunbeamtech was established in 2000 as a cold cathode fluorescent lamp manufacturer, but has recently added computerhardware to its product lineup. This particular HSF utilizes this same principal and comes in two versions:one for the Intel LGA 775 and one for AMD K8 CPUs. Today I'll be testing the K8 version in one of my Socket 939 machines. SunbeamTech Silent Storm Case @ pro-clockers.com [Jun-26-06] (0 Comments) I have had the opportunity to review a lot of great cases and a lotof them have been somewhat pricey. But there is always an inexpensive gem inthe bunch, which gives you a lot of what the other guys' offers. Sunbeamtechaka Tuniq has recently been putting out some great cases for those that havefinancially impaired wallets. Take the Tuniq 2 which was one of the bestcases I have reviewed and cost well under eighty dollars. Now we have achance to review the Silent Storm. Do we like it as much as the Tuniq 2, wewill see. Sunbeamtech NUUO 550W Power Supply @ bigbruin.com [Jun-19-06] (0 Comments) A modular power supply like the Sunbeamtech NUUO 550W unit can really make a big difference with the wire clutter that comes with a high end computer housing many components; and it also improves the airflow within the case. The cables provided are very nice, vary in length, have a good flex range, most are sleeved, two are EMI-shielded, and the Molex cables have nice grips for easy removal. Sunbeamtech Silent Storm ATX Case @ bigbruin.com [Jan-13-06] (0 Comments) If you are looking for a case that is not meant to be seen or heard, the Sunbeamtech Silent Storm is a great option! It has a very plain look to it, but has the added benefit of being silent, while keeping your gear cool. The extra fan bracket will give you an extra 120mm fan inside your case to help improve airflow and your case temperatures, without increasing the noise level. Sunbeamtech Theta TP-101 Fan Controller @ casemodgod.com [Nov-09-05] (0 Comments) This is a great concept that's time is over due, in reality it isa good product for the first and only one of its kind. A functional softwarecontrolled card, eight channels with temperature probes, alarm, timer, plusmany other features. Bigbruin.com :Sunbeamtech Theta TP-101 Fan Controller @ bigbruin.com [Oct-27-05] (0 Comments) Sunbeamtech has offered the typical fan controller (rheobus) in a v ariety of styles in the past, but the software based Theta TP-101 is much d ifferent. Instead of using knobs to mechanically vary resistance, a Windo ws interface is used to automate this through software, while providing on screen information for up to eight fans and eight thermal probes. Sunbeam Trio Computer Gaming Case @ atruereview.com [Oct-21-05] (0 Comments) I've reviewed a ton of cases it seems. Every company is trying tocapture the computer hobbyist's eye with unique features. Sunbeam Tech, aleader in modding accessories and cases, recently rolled out their TrioGaming Case. What exciting features did they add for the computer hobbyist? How about a built in monitoring panel. Sure, you have seen this in manycases, but instead of only monitoring temperatures and fan speed, Sunbeam'sTrio case also monitors sound levels. Also, instead of taking up a 5 1/4 Sunbeam X-1300 Gaming Mouse @ thinkcomputers.org [Oct-20-05] (0 Comments) The mouse is an integral part of your system, what you do with it determines what type of mouse you will want to use.Sunbeamtech is a maker of a wide variety of items, they are fairly new as they launched in 2000. Located in Taipei within China, they make cases, lights, fans and much more. Today we are going to look at their latest gaming mouse the X-1300; they have twodifferent models the Sensor-X and the X-Sharp. I will be taking a spin with the X-Sharp. Sunbeam is stepping up to the gaming grademouse plate; the only spin here is that they offer a low price. Let's take a look and see if this less expensive mouse can hold upin line with such other mice as the Mx-518 from Logitech. Sunbeam Tech X-1300 Gaming Mouse @ atruereview.com [Oct-09-05] (0 Comments) Every hobbyist and gamer is looking for a mouse that helps themimprove in their computing world. Although, a $60 gaming mouse like theRazer Diamondback, is not in their budget. That is why Sunbeam Techproduces a 1300 DPI gaming mouse, the X-1300 Gaming Mouse. For $20, letsfind out if this mouse belongs on your desk. Bigbruin.com :Sunbeamtech X-1300 Sensor-X Gaming Mouse @ bigbruin.com [Sep-30-05] (0 Comments) The only unusual item on the bottom of the Sensor-X is a switch th at allows you to switch this mouse from 650dpi to 1300dpi. The differenc e in dpi means you don't have to choose a mouse based on the speed or prec ision you require for certain applications. You can now have one mouse a nd easily switch modes depending on your individual needs. Tuniq Tower 120 CPU Cooler @ thinkcomputers.org [Sep-26-05] (0 Comments) The Tuniq Tower 120. This heatsink comes from a relatively unknown player in the cooling field, Sunbeam subsidiary Tuniq. Ofcourse, we all know Sunbeam, which means the odds of this product, well, sucking are slim to none. Tuniq is headquartered in China, with a staff that has a decade or more experience in the industry as well as enthusiastic newcomers and designers. Bigbruin.com :Sunbeamtech Acrylic Lite-Up Keyboard @ bigbruin.com [Aug-18-05] (0 Comments) The Sunbeamtech Acrylic Lite-Up Keyboard has the typical features of your everyday keyboard with a few notable differences... The blue backlighting is a very cool feature, but it doesn't help you read the keys much in the dark. It might be a great thing to show off at a LAN party, but if your looking for a visual aid when the lights go out, this may not be the keyboard for you. Bigbruin.com :Sunbeamtech Pro Series Illuminated Keyboard @ bigbruin.com [Aug-12-05] (0 Comments) Sunbeamtech has released a flood of new computer products this year including items such as cases, coolers, mod items, and input devices. The one thing all of these different items seem to have in common is a bit of flair provided by some sort of lighting. The Pro Series Illuminated Keyboard is one of the latest releases from Sunbeamtech, and helps the end user to get one step closer to having everything in their system glow. Bigbruin.com :Sunbeamtech Chromatic Windmill Control Panel @ bigbruin.com [Aug-03-05] (0 Comments) On the back of the Chromatic Windmill you will find all the connectors neatly lined up, and well labeled... You will also find a place to install a back-up battery. If the power is ever lost to the unit you won't lose your settings. This is a great feature, as I have always hated moving components around and losing the values that I had programmed in! Sunbeam Chameleon and Lightbus @ xyzcomputing.com [Jul-30-05] (0 Comments) The Chameleon has a bunch of stick on lights that you place inside your computer and you can change the colors with the knobs on your front panel. You connect all your cathode lights/fans to your Lightbus and you can set them to different rhythms, such as blinking on HD pulses, sound pulses, or any of the other selectable pulses. Now for you extreme techies, here are all the deatils... Bigbruin.com :Sunbeamtech Fireline and Blue Flame Optical Mice @ bigbruin.com [Jul-30-05] (0 Comments) Probably the biggest concern with mice, especially if you are a gamer, is how well they track. This is where both the Fireline and Blue Flame seemed to excel. Due to the 800 dpi engine, both mice tracked flawlessly. I used both mice in several first person shooter games such as Counter Strike, Unreal Tournament 2004, and Far Cry, and never once experienced any tracking issues of any kind. Movement was very precise and accurate with both mice. Sunbeam Tech Pro-Series Keyboard @ atruereview.com [Jul-24-05] (0 Comments) Illuminated keyboards are a great invention. They provide softgentle light in the dark for your eyes. Therefore, it makes sense thatSunbeam Tech, a leader in computer lighting and modding, would produce itsown line of illuminating keyboards. Today, we look at the Pro-Series LiteUp Keyboard, EL-K8-078K. Bigbruin.com :Sunbeamtech TRIO ATX Case @ bigbruin.com [Jul-11-05] (0 Comments) With the TRIO removed from the packaging, the first thing that caught my eye were the three analog meters on the lower left front corner. These measure sound, temperature, and fan speed.... Turning the system on, all the lights activate and the front analog meters light up with blue LEDs. The case looks incredible all lit up! I was pleasantly surprised at how the analog meters looked. Sunbeam Accessories:Anodized LED Fans and Thumbscrews @ xyzcomputing.com [Jul-10-05] (0 Comments) Yet again I believe we meet that fork in the road, one way leads to eye candy, the other way goes to performance. The screws and fans are an absolute visionary orgasm, but their low performance in terms of moving air, and covering their screws in a colored finish (even the silver skull and Vikings are prone to the grinding) make these products the enemies of performance enthusiasts. Sunbeam Tech Nuuo 550 watt Power Supply @ windows-1250 [Jul-02-05] (0 Comments) Sunbeam Tech cut its teeth on making accessories for computers atleast up till the time they introduced their line of computer cases, but nowthey have added another category to their arsenal. While the Analog style gauges provide a retro look andfeel, the design of the Trio is more modernized and futuristic. TheSunbeam Trio Case measures approximately 430mm (H) x 200mm (W) x 440mm (D)and is light weight at 7.8kg. The case supports mATX and Full ATXmotherboard formats and is packaged with a generic 450W PSU. The eye candyfor Sunbeam Trio Mid-Tower Case besides the Analog gauges is the inclusionof a pre-modified side panel window, show car paint finish and matchingmesh material used on the front bezel for ventilation. There are many products on the market that can add lighting effects in unusual areas. Some of these items work great and some are not much more than novelty items. Sunbeam, a leader in case lighting, has provided us with a couple of interesting products: Molex Lights and LED Screws. Let's see if these products are worth picking up or just novelties. Sunbeam LightBus @ thinkcomputers.org [Apr-13-05] (0 Comments) Do you have a lot of lights in your case? Sunbeamtech Silent Anodized LED Fans @ BigBruin.com [Apr-13-05] (0 Comments) As the manufacturer states on the packaging, the "silent" fans are pretty quiet. Although not perfectly silent, at 20db you should not expect to hear these fans over other system noises. With the low noise, comes a relatively low air flow, but for most users a few fans rated at 23CFM such as these, will cycle plenty of air through the computer case. The Lightbus from Sunbeamtech is different... It was designed from the ground up as a lighting controller only. Sunbeam Samurai Case Review @ overclockercafe.com [Feb-21-05] (0 Comments) The quality construction issue was further compounded by the bezel mounts that held it to the face of the case - these as you may recall broke off too. I am at a complete loss to explain the glaring discrepancies between the Sunbeam website's list of the case specs and what the true case specs were. Try as I might to find some redeeming qualities here - truth be told, this is one Samurai that should commit Hara-kiri. Sunbeam Transformer Case Review @ overclockercafe.com [Feb-19-05] (0 Comments) The Sunbeam Transformer is a nice package for $95. You get lots of features and function for a reasonable price. The design is bound to attract more than just a few people with its spiral window design accented by the LED case fans. While the Transformer was lacking a removable mainboard tray, it was roomy enough for to negate this to some degree. The only other two concerns we had were the lack of fan filters and the noise. More and more manufacturers started concentrating on gaming cases after they received quite a bit of attention in the early days, but now user preference has changed, but gaming cases are still entering the market strongly. Many users pose concerns that manufacturers, such as Thermaltake and Sunbeam, have cases that are too "immature" for them. This is why Cooler Master, Silverstone and Lian Li has captured a fair share of the market and has always targeted "serious" customer base, so to speak. Well, your complaints were answered this year at the Consumer Electronics Show where many companies revealed their 2005 product roadmaps. Sunbeam Lightbus @ LAN Addict [Dec-30-04] (0 Comments) The Sunbeam Lightbus is really a nifty device and one that I'm kind of surprised hasn't been copied by anyone else. The fact that it can also be used to control fans is just icing on a pretty sweet cake! The only things I see that could be improved upon are making the hard drive connector a pass-through one so the cases HDD activity light can still be used, and finding a way to utilize the motherboard's or sound card's headers for accessing the sound signals, rather than using a pass-through cable that will have to be strung all the way across the interior of your case and out the back. This being said though, I tried to stay open minded. Sunbeam Samurai Case Review at XYZ Computing @ xyzcomputing.com [Dec-29-04] (0 Comments) So black is the new beige and the case mod look is in full bloom after years of ripening. Sunbeam is right up with the best of them with its Samurai case, available in red, silver, and black plastic housing. This is a barebones ATX case with no bundled power supply. However, it does sport a few practical features that are enticing. Firstly, there is an 80mm fan mounted out back, a side-panel vent, as well as front-mounted USB ports, a mic in, and a headphone jack. Five 5.25-inch bays (plus a 3.5-inch) are no joke, and the overall case design is certainly spacious enough to be expansion-worthy without having a tremendous footprint SunBeamTech Molex Lighting Mods @ TechTastic.ca [Dec-28-04] (0 Comments) Today we take a look at three products from SunBeamTech that allow you to add even more lighting to that case of yours with lighting mods for your Molex plugs: the MiniBay Bus, Molex lights, and Night Magic. Sunbeam Lightbus @ OCIA.net [Dec-15-04] (0 Comments) In the world of reviewing, it is not often that I am really impressed by a product’s originality. Most modding accessories these days are just remakes or redesigns of an original idea that another company or individual created. That being said though, the LightBus, though an extension of a Rheobus, is still very innovative, especially given the large market of modding gear available today. I am not sure why they included a fan bracket, as a 120mm fan can be mounted directly to the steel shell behind it, eliminating the need for the bracket. Personally, I removed and discarded this bracket. Another great feature visible in the photo above is the fan grill. Many manufacturers use the tiny punched-holes, which do not provide adequate airflow for the fan. This style, with much larger holes, is less restrictive and allows for more cool air to flow into the case. Unfortunately, a 120mm fan was not included for this location. One can be purchased separately from Sunbeam, or you can simply use one you already own. It provides a nice view of the interior, though reaches a little too far over the drive bays for my taste. I like side fans, and this case doesn't disappoint there. The laser cut fan grill is nicely unobstructed. Too bad it doesn't come with a fan in place. A series of red and white formed plastic shapes have been layered to create an interesting composition. The lower half allows for ample airflow to be exercised via an integrated vent. In order to maintain uniformity, the Sunbeam Samurai Gaming Case incorporates a door to hide away any 5.25" based device. The door itself is constructed from plastic and takes on a triangular design. Sunbeam 3D UV Fan Grill @ Steamed Turtle [Apr-21-04] (0 Comments) I have said it before and I will say it again. These days’ people are looking for the best possible way to dress up their case with all sorts of things. Today we will be taking a look at some 3D UV reactive fan grills made by Sunbeam and judge them based on looks, ease of installation and other pertinent points. Sunbeam fan grills and thumbscrews @ Rbmods [Mar-24-04] (0 Comments) Today it's time to look at some mod products again. This time we have some fan grills and thumb screws from Sunbeam. We will look closer into the quality and see how they look installed. Let's get started. Sunbeam fan controller @ RBmods [Mar-02-04] (4 Comments) Tonight it's time to have a look at a nice little gadget that probably will make your computer alot quieter. It's a little fan controller from Sunbeam which controls your fans and warns you if something has happened with them. It also looks good and is tiny so it should be able to be mounted pretty much anywhere. Time to have a look. Sunbeam 12 Volt PC Cigarette Lighter Review Sunbeam 12 Volt PC Cigarette Lighter Review @ Extension Tech [Feb-28-04] (0 Comments) The idea of a 12 Volt cigarette lighter in a PC isn't really a new idea. Nor has it really been pushed into the mainstream by such a large manufacturer, and distributor before. So here we go! Let's take a look at a potentially neat product from Sunbeam... Sunbeam RGB Liquid CCFL Review @ OCIA.net [Feb-25-04] (0 Comments) Installation was pretty quick and easy for this product. It took me around 10 minutes from start to finish. Just simply plug in the pass through molex, mount the switch, invertor, and CCFL, and enjoy. The hardest part of installing the product was finding the best place to put it. With a normal CCFL, it is ok to put it where the bulb cannot be seen. However, with the Liquid CCFL, you want to be able to see the bulb. You will need to make sure to test fit it and put your side panel back on to see if you can still see the bulb through the window. Sunbeam Acrylic UV case @ Rbmods [Feb-14-04] (0 Comments) The modding scene is growing. We can now even find acrylic cases in the stores, however there are different acrylic cases. Sunbeam has sent us their UV reactive acrylic case which we will have a closer look at tonite. You put the case together by yourself which was actually pretty odd :) First time I´ve done it so now I might even have the guts to build a case from scratch. Well enough about that and lets get this review going. Sunbeam dancing light @ Rbmods [Feb-03-04] (0 Comments) Dancing disco light for your case. This will be very interesting to see :) Xpcases sent us this great product that is a Sunbeam product. We will look closer into how this little gadget works and if it really is a good addition for your mod project. Sunbeam Skull fan grill @ R&B [Jan-29-04] (0 Comments) This fan grill has an impressive design, the logo looks great and the grill plastic is a good UV reactive. The fan grill unfortunately blocks some airflow, but with this design its inevitable. Sunbeam Liquid Neon CCFL @ R&B [Jan-22-04] (0 Comments) Today I’m going to be reviewing the ‘Liquid Neon’ by sunbeam. The neon comes in an excellent box to keep it from being damaged. The side of the package gives the details of the neon, the one I will be looking at is the blue spiral pattern neon. The plastic box opens at the top and the contents slide out in one go. A single plastic tie secures the wires and inverter to the neon, this can be slid off without effort. 169 results. New search. |
