How Microsoft is dooming itself

Microsoft has cleaned up its monopolistic act in the last few years. Well, it's clean enough for Uncle Sam's purposes, at least. Now that we are in the second era of the Microsoft empire, it is building its dominance in a different manner. Opponents are frightened by some of its recent moves but if history is any indication, the path it is on just may be Microsoft's undoing.
