well the copyrights are needed, other wise no artists would make anymoney as all would be free.

but the clips from viacom being the most watched video's on utube?

thats just wishful thinking by some viacom lawyers,

sure they have good shows but they also have bad shows.

the clips just let us know what is the good shows.
and what is the bad ones to stay away from. unsure.gif

now if there were enough clips from one episode of a show to make one able to download all the clips and merge them to make the complete show. then they might be able to get justice for viacom and get paid but i don't think anyone has made that many 30 second to 1 minute clips, users may be greedy but they ain't stupid. cool.gif

Just glad Canada is not affected as much. At least it's up to the ISP to decide. The states is really F#$#@$cked up when it comes to copyright. i still personally think Copyright should be abolished completely. It's a wall that deters people from enjoying other people's work/arts etc. Same with patents, they disable the ability for innovations to get off the ground. Abolish it all, I say.
