Software and Hardware -> what video card brand do you prefer

| I dont really have a preference. I really like my Nvidia card though. I have a Geforce FX5200. It plays everything I want to play. |

| i have had different vedio cards but most of them are ati's either their rage card or one of the ati tv out cards. but this xp is nvidia and it works fine. for what i do. how ever the one beside me is an ati digital vidio 8 card and it sucks it does work as a tv out but it has so many things that are on it that don't work it is unbelievable still the screen shows up nice.  i took the rage card out of my systems it is just sitting here as a spare. mom has an v2 premier system bought off the shopping channels. it has an on board video chip by via it is not bad, this one anyway the orignal one in that computer toasted and v2 sent out a guy to replace the orginal board with a new one and it still had the via chip but a new version of it.  not sure what is in the old computdyne it has an old isa mother board with a 30hrz cpu so there is no telling what video is in that one.  |

Haha. From what I hear AOL is like the worse ISP you can get. And thankfully here we don't receive all their CDs in the mail.  People get really creative with these, from making thrones to houses LOL or tesla coil experiments. |

That's what my mom does. Funny, she likes AOL, and runs down their commercials. I said, "You choose to like something based on their commercials, right?", "Yeah" she says.... Ok, "So then you must hate AOL, right?"..... She shut up. |

Yeah true I always forget ATI is Canadian. Probably one of the only tech industry companies that is.  |

| As Canadians you guys should prefer ATi since its a Canadian company Where is your since of pride?!?! NVIDIA was crappy, but improved their drives. ATi has been consistent, but is more bitchy about Linux drivers. Both have cheated on benchmarks. Sloppy cheaters, or stingy cheaters. Your choice |

| Hmmm Nvidia and ATI are always equal in their video cards as far as I'm concerned. If I had to pick one, I'd say Nvidia. They have more advertisement (Nvidia, the way it's supposed to be played) and so on . Hey! It works |

| Never had issues with it. Only reason I switched it was because it could not handle a few games I wanted to play, and did not even get around to playing them yet. LOL |

| When it comes to video cards I don't really have a preference. I think I've been through like 3 video cards, if I count our first PC which I did not build. Basically every time I change my video card there's about 300,000 new ones that came out. Right now I have a Gforce 4200 TI as well. My recent upgrade from my Radeon 7500 |

| what is your opi0n on video cards. i have always been an nvidia man myself but i will buy ati. my video card is actually kind of old but i don't mind cause i am buying a new pc soon. Nvidia Geforce 4200 |
