You won't be putting that public are you? since unlike software you run on your local machine, a pirated message board is very easy to detect, so to avoid loosing all your stuff later on, I would stick with a free one like phpbb. I'm not really sure what their policy is on piracy but I would assume they threat you until you close it down. Mind you, you can always run a forum converter script in that event.

Meh... its ok i really dont need a forum that much it just fits in with my site. Speking of my site its coming along great! im almost done, I just need to find out how to make a login thingy and the ability for other people to upload there own pics skins and other programs etc...

Nope unless you want to pay the crazy expensive price tag it has to it, but I would say just use phpbb. Not as advanced but IPB2 is not worth paying for, it's also a PIA to mod it and skin it. That's why you see so many of them using default skin.

Actually I use winsyntax, which for some reason is no where to be found, but there's plenty of text editors out there. I had started off with notepad when I dumped frontpage though, but wanted something more advanced, and with tabbing. When working on squirrelBBS (something I have not done in a while. laugh.gif) I can have as much as 10 different scripts open at once.

Notepad2, Yo! It was made for coding. It color codes different scripts, line, codes, etc. Sorry I don't have a link to it, though.

Frontpage does tables last time I used it, but I screwed up my entire site by having too many nested tables, it could not handle it. That's when I switched to notepad, much more flexible and more reliable.

If you want something slightly more lightweight (probably scale better) you could try phorum. phpBB probably has more options and available mods though.

Also, I refuse to believe you can't do tables in frontpage, I would have thought frontpage would have been entirely dependent on tables.

I think I got a 2.0 somewhere. em321.gif 1.3 I don't think I ever downloaded but suposely it's illegal to use it now, well even our current version is illegal I think, but too bad for them it was free when I got it, and they even promissed to always keep it free and broke that promise.

Let's put it this way. From the look of it, it doesn't look like you have any sort of FTP access. THAT is going to be necessary for an IPB installation.

I don't try to be an zzzcensored.gif, but that site isn't worth wasting your time adding a forum. Most people don't look at a site that doesn't have something new to offer. It also looks like a preset layout.
