I think that's how it was done too. I probably need to look at it again, but it seems as though certain parts are smoother\more detailed than others - like it was a smaller picture being blown up. The detail really stands out right as it changes scenes, and not so much as you are still approaching the transition.

Woah that's wicked! That must be hard to make, especially in flash. Not even sure how it was done, if it's a serries of seperate frames done in like 3D max, or if it's actually zooming in then adding another image. It goes really smooth so it was done quite accurately!
