Yeah problem with these such as openbbs there's already some bbs systems called that. I might actually go back with squirrelbbs. just not sure what to do anymore lol. On the bright side, lot of stuff is still named that such as variables so it might be the easiest route. just don't want it to look like I'm obsessed with squirrels since I'm not, really, I'm not...

etronic sounds kinda cheesy in my opinion. You might also want to think about what makes for good acronyms. you could even go for the ever popular self-referencing acronym like SNIP Board - SNIP (is) not Invision Power Board Personally though I kinda liked the old SquirrelBBS. You've almost got a logo and mascot right off the bat with a name like that, which could help a lot to promote the board. OpenBoard\OpenBBS is good too, but only if you're willing to really push the open source aspect of it. Other suggestions: 2x4 - Very punny, but with a wood themed logo\default skin, people would remember it. I'd say "FreeBoard" but that sounds like a Lynard Skynard Fan with a bad accent ...ok I was expecting to come up with more ideas, but my mind went blank. Maybe later

Ok time has come to really change the name and do the website. (will be using the site for a project at the same time. ) So here's a few random names I just came up with, which one do you think sounds the best? -freevision board (possible legal issue - trying to avoid) -paramount board (again, possible legal issue but not as bad) -optimumboard (not on google) -etronicboard (not on google) I'm going towards Etronic Board. It just sounds cool and is short for Electronic Board.

It's a forum software, like IPB, but it will be free, and eventually it will be better. The biggest issue now is the name. LOL I might just go back to squirrelBBS too, heck, half the vars and table names still refer to that, so it would be less trouble. But openBBS is a good idea and as far as my quick research goes no one else has that name but I'll have to do a more in depth reasearch. I'll only do the final decision when I release the first beta though, since I don't want someone else to take it, make one over night, then release it. I think that's what happened with zeroboard, since when I did research there was no results at all for it.

i donno if you thought of this yet but after your done beta with it you should probly use the zeroboard to support the iceteks UD team by sending it out with your UD ad that ya got here at iceteks and you could probly get a name outta that too if ya think clearer then me

Icemane. You can have your logo as a lion with a blue, frosty mane. If this sounds corney...just imagine the things I thought of BEFORE this one. The name is catchy, and it sticks in your mind. I'm pretty sure nobody has tried that name either
