no i have not even heard of that one? seems like a good deal for you though. but did you ever go and get the maxmem program from analogx.com? it is to run in the system tray it is done in c++ code and is very small but does a huge job when it runs. it keeps the ram cleared from stuff. you can set it at a level of percent to keep empty and when your computer uses all the ram it will clear what can be cleared from the ram and put it in the swapfile. but it only clears the amount you want it too. so you could set it to 4 % empty and it would only clear that much. having ram in any size free is a big help in viewing avi files as they are huge. i suspect that the old programs did not do any clearing of ram when you viewed avi's and this new one just might be doing that?

ok well last night after getting sooo pissed off at my avi players i started searching for another prog to play some naruto.avi files in cuz the progs i was using were pushing my CPU to 100% and then would like freeze/lag the video ya thats right i use a cheap compaq lol cant do crap with this computer but hey it works ...umm well kinda but anyways i found light alloy 2.9 n even tho its just a trial this lil prog did an awsome job keeping low CPU usage and just to give it a lil test i started using a pile of other stuff just to push my CPU to 100% to see if it would lag or freeze n it didnt skip a beat makes me wonder if you guys know of a lighter player cuz its rare thats i find anything thats real good simple to use ...a right click well in full screen will bring up your regular options like play/pause n whatever ..... looks like crap when out of full screen but thats my only prob with it cheap compaq has no problem with this lil thing altho most of yas here probly wouldnt care how much CPU ya use cuz your computers are better then my compaq but i know i cant be the only one who has a cheap PC ....or am i? so let me know if theres a lighter one out there
