Whoever came up with putting a light in a fridge is a genious. So often I go get a drink at night and don't want to open the lights to wake up my parants (the magnetic force in the house wireing caused by the impact of the metal contact inside the switch which closes the circuit, wakes up my parants). So when I get to the fridge and open the door, there is light, so I can see what I'm taking. But did you ever wonder if it REALLY goes off when you close the door? Many complicated scientific experiments have been done to see if a viable answer could be found, but so far research still hasn't came up with any conclusions.
