Yeah but that's a company that promissed to always keep things free and they turned into Microsoft on us. laugh.gif Hopefully more people like me will rebel against it and switch to a different script.

2-3 months is not bad red it tells me they had a market plan going one which would make them money by getting everyone using their stuff then change their stuff and make everyone pay to upgrade?

seems normal to me.

haha yep, even without the zend decoding, since well, let's just say we can wait for the actual release. (I have a nice copy of 2.0 somewhere that I did not bother to install yet) I'd never run a warezed copy for the forum since it's a big risk, but it's fun to have for playing around on my server.

I'm not going to post a link or anything, but let's just say that it's awfully easy to get a truly 'unlimited trial' tongue.gif

Hehe Enron sagrin.gif (will never get old)

They went from 100% free, to free but pay for support, to not free at all, but unlimited trial, to no trial. All this within about 2-3 months.

And check this out: http://www.invisionboard.com/?triallimited

They encode it so no one can even see the code. laugh.gif Talk about paranoid for a company that had free as a promise. We won't be upgrading any time soon and when we do it won't be to IPB. It will be to ZB which I need to get off my butt and finish up! Lots to be put into it still. Christmas vacations should be a perfect time to work on it.

As for the encoded version of IPB, I'm sure there's a way to decode it to get the source. sagrin.gif You know, just for coding ideas and what not. Suposely somewhere in the source they actually state that they stole code from another script! I did not see it for myself but someone else told me.

It's really sad how this company just went in the pits. They turned in Microsoft. Or Enron. roflmao.gif
