yeah I thought of the network and security thing, but I think I'll keep it like that for now, since it also covers spyware, viruses and what not which are not directly attached to networks, even though 99% of them require a network to be caught. But it's something to consider later on.

I'll do the merges soon.

You might want to also consider merging networks and security if you want to merge a few more. Seeing as most security concerns revolve around a network of some type or another.

Ok, here's what I decided, but I'm open to suggestions, I want to make sure everyone is ok with this before I go do it, since it would be very hard to reverse.

Software and Hardware will be put together, under Software/Hardware.
Since it can happen that a problem or issue is both software and hardware related, so while most sites tend to seperate this, figured we'd make it different.

Case and Cooling, The Boom Box, Dark Room will be put under technology arts (or similar name).
Since these 3 are basically 3 different type of arts, in a sense. I might keep case and cooling seperate though, since cooling is a seperate issue and not really an "Art". So that I'm not sure about yet so I'm open to suggestions.

The Cool Hangout Place and Chill Pill will simply be the cool hangout place.
Basically, get rid of the joke section and we can just post jokes in the cool hangout place.

The Daily Freeze and Suggestions/Feedback/Problems will be put under "current forum/site developments" or similar
Now, one is for undergoing stuff while one is for feedback, so it will be more simple to just merge them together as one forum. The Iceteks changes forum will be a sub forum of that one.

So if these changes are made as indicated we will have it structured this way:

Technology made cool
Articles
UD lounge
programming
software and hardware
networks
security
technology arts
general PC talk
business

misc
the cool hangout place
The krazy igloo

site related
what's going on -> iceteks changes

private
hidden frozen land
staff -> troll threads


So let me know what you guys think of these changes.

Sounds like a plan. Consolidating some of the forums will give our site a cleaner, more organized look overall. I'll probably post more input, but if I don't, you know where to find me on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.

Since the activity here is really deserted lately I've been considering doing some major changes that will hopefully help things. One of them is to merge less popular forums with the one closest.

For example the boom box does not really have that many topics, so I could just merge it with software, so basically delete the forum and move all the posts to software.

Or what I could even do is merge the dark room and the music forum to make it an "media arts" forum. I did not decide anything yet, but I just want to get everyones ideas here as to what I can do to reorganize things.
