| Yep. I'm working on a half decent stat system too. Well very similar readings to those, but it will just give me more freedom to choose ranges to calculate stats from. I'll start making an excel spreadshet to make graphscs too. There's webalizer, but I rather have an offline way of keeping track of stats as well. Here's the results of the script so far. I may add more stuff to it but I think I'll keep it as it is and just format it better.

This is really good to consider that we've only been on this server since August 11th this month, and yet we're near our last record of 110K page views for this month. So add 11 more days of 4000K and we're way ahead! It also helps that I released 2 articles this month. |

The more days I base it on, the more accurate the results. But I think I'll release my wattage article this month too so it should generate enough traffic to break at least 100,000 page views this month. Summer is so slow compared to winter though so it would be smarter of me to wait till winter to release it. But it's too tempting to release it now.  It already got 200 hits from just sitting there, so that's a good sign.Since all this is generated locally on my LAN, I have way more freedom in terms of complex stat processing, so I will be enhancing this system more to generate good stats that I can easly post every month. I was posting stats for a while then sort of quit, but this system will make it easier. The only thing with this system is that it does not count pages that don't have the logger in them, so most of the humor section pages and stuff, but the main site's content does have this logger in place so it should be accurate enough stats. |
