| Hmmm good idea! Or I can sell service packs for the book. For example, I can leave out a whole area of code on a page so the service pack would indicate what pages of the book this was done and have the code. hehe. |

Your method is close, but you are off by a little: You want to put in lots of mistakes, BUT don't drive off customers with the annoying ads: instead, sucker them to give you more money by releasing a 2nd edition of the book (then 3rd, 4th, then change the title of the book and start again )It's foolproof I tell ya! |

| haha I should write a book and become famous. The trick is to put lot of mistakes and have a site, so people will go on the site to complain, but the site will have lot of ads and popups, so I get lot of money. Sad part is, sneaky marketting like that WOULD work! How do you think Microsoft works? |

| Glad they helped! I'm sure most php books would be good. What's nice about php there's lot of functions that enable you to do lot of stuff with strings and such. for example the explode() function can become quite usefull and so can preg_replace etc... I hardly use those though but they are useful. That's the thing though online tutorials only go so far then you either learn on your own or need a good book. |

Hardy Har Har Har I've looked at your tutorials, and in fact, they are what changed my mind from learning Perl I learn better when I have something tangible to take with me and look at whenever I have time. |

| Not sure if you looked at it or not but there's two php tutorials on this site. As for books I'm not sure since I never bought any. Or by php books do you mean books written in php? J/K |

Well, after taking a looksie at both Perl and PHP, I decided that PHP would apply more to my web design internship (definately looks like I could pick it up quicker than Perl  )Anyone feel like recommending a good PHP book for a n00b? Thanks |
