That's one of the reasons I only get money. People say I'm hard to shop for, and I believe them since I truly have problems shopping for myself too. Top that with not knowing what Java or a video card is... I'm thinking of buying some books off Amazon. I know I am buying Rapid Application Development with Mozilla, and I have some books on PHP in mind... |

| Yep. Expecially in my case. If I ask for a strick of ram or even a kind of tool, my parants don't know what it is. |

| Money is always good, that way you get to pick out your own gift. |
| Red Squirrel - Mar-23-2004 server time |
| How much? Money is not really a suprise, only in big ammounts. |
| Chris Vogel - Mar-23-2004 server time | ||
Just money. |

| Hey tak, get any cool gifts you want to tell us about? |
| Red Squirrel - Mar-23-2004 server time |
| Actually the way it is, even though it takes all that time to get your license you can still drive, but under the conditions mentioned. (not alone etc) |

| Happy Birthday Tak! Personally, I don't think you'll get any better at driving unless you're on the road, so don't wait too long to get your license. At least not 3 years When I got my license I took that computer test too, but then I took a class in high school, it was kinda short though, maybe a half semester or something. Then we got the on the road sessions after school. Unfortunately I had something like an hour or 2 driving with my parents at the time, so that's where I learned most of my driving skills from |

| There are more restrictions here now than there used to be. We had way too many inexperienced drivers involved in deadly accidents. |
| Red Squirrel - Mar-22-2004 server time |
| Wow, nope us it's longer then that and more restrictions. with G1 I need someone else in the car, I can't drive on the big freeways like the 401 and I can't drive at night. But with G2 there's less restrictions, then after another ammount of time I get the normal license. |

It really doesn't take that long here.
That seems easier then what you have to do. |

How about that. Oh yeah, we were talking about that . oesn't everyone have a book and read it so that's about a month then you get your G1 do the test then you have to wait like 9 months or something to get your G2 but between that you also have to take a course where you drive with the instructor and depending on how busy he is there's only 2 in town so they are both busy you only get to drive once a month and you need 10 lessons. I have a whole lot of original answers. I don't judge people. I think there are a few exceptions. Thanks for the information: Undefined said Undefined exagerated a bit by saying 3 years now that you think of it but it's at least 1 and most likely over for sure. Are they exactly the same? |

| well about that. You need to get a book and read it, so that's about a month, then you get your G1 (do the test) then you have to wait like 9 months or something to get your G2, but between that you also have to take a course where you drive with the instructor and depending on how busy he is (there's only 2 in town so they are both busy) you only get to drive once a month and you need 10 lessons. So all that takes at least a year, but there's something else once you do the road test (after the course and all that) but I forget how it works. I exagerated a bit by saying 3 years now that I think of it, but it's at least 1 and most likely over for sure. That's here, not sure how it is where you live. |

| Three years? You're joking. |
| Red Squirrel - Mar-22-2004 server time |
| Happy birthday! I was not in a hurry either, I wanted a year. |
| Chris Vogel - Mar-22-2004 server time |
| Tomorrow is my birthday. Nope, I don't plan to get my licence tomorrow. I think I will wait a few days. I'm not in that much of a hurry. |
| Wren - Mar-22-2004 server time |
| Gosh, I almost missed this. It's tak's birthday and no one noticed. Happy Birthday! Did you get your driver's license today? |
