| i have not had this happen yet but there was a bad worm last month or so that came threw msn messager and that might be a version that was not patched for that worm i had trouble getting on msn or any other web site yesturday and some this morning and i have not tried the msn messager yet will in about an hour or so as i have to help my friend with his computer we still trying to get one of them working. |

| No one uses the pc but me. I have found out it appears to be a flaw in the program and this will happen, for some unknown reason. Go figure! |

| Yeah, especially if it stayed logged in, it could be someone else went and added a contact. Contacts are stored on the msn server so even if it was added on a different PC, it will still apear no matter where you are. Same goes with ICQ and probably every other messaging client. |

| Two things I can think of offhand, but note that I haven't actually us3ed the real MSN Messenger in ages, so I dunno. 1) some kind of Messenger\Outlook\OE "Feature" that automatically adds outlook contacts to your buddy list 2) You [or someone else] is loading your messenger account elsewhere and new contacts added there got merged into your buddy list |

| Anyone know why a contact would be added to your list that you didn't add? I'm thinking it may be a security glitch in 6.1 version of Instant Messenger. |
