Why Opera is better than Mozilla
Opera vs Mozilla
By Robin

Why Opera is better than Mozilla There are several reasons why I think Opera is better than Mozilla. These reasons are probably all personal, but hey, I can't help that. First and foremost, I like that Opera comes with a lot more features. Now I can just hear everyone going: "Yeah but they're probably all useless." I don't think that's true. Take the "continue from last time"-option at the start-up. Sometimes I do that, sometimes I open Opera without any pages opened (another option), sometimes I continue a session I saved earlier. I really like that feature. Another one of those features is the built-in IRC client. If I need help with Opera or just want to chat, I can go to the Opera IRC channel and talk to people (don't expect official support though). So, the features are not all useless. Oh yeah, before I forget, Opera has a pop-up blocker too.

I also like the fact that I'm able to create custom sidepanels and everyone else can, too. All you do is make an html document and save that on your computer. Bookmark it and select the "show in sidebar"-option (or words to that effect). Simple, but handy.

I think a lot of things in Opera are that, simple, but handy.

Then there's the fact that I think Opera is much easier to skin. I mean, if I can make a skin anyone can do it. I'm a retard when it comes to stuff like that, so I think it's something if I can do it. Of course, I'm way too lazy, but that's another story.

Then there's the fact that on my computer Opera is faster. I won't go into detail, because it's different on pretty much any computer and it all depends on your settings. I still think Opera is faster than Mozilla, though.

For me, the advertisements in Opera aren't annoying at all. Sometimes they show stuff I'm interested in, so I click them. They're not big but they get the message across. I guess I kind of like them, in a way.

Also, I find it much easier to change my preferences in Opera. I know how to disable referer logging, manage cookies, clear my cache, disable javascript and much, much more.

Opera is available on pretty much anything. You can even get Opera on a phone. How cool is that?? Hell yeah, that rocks.

Opera also has a very very nice community to back it up. You have the Opera chats, Opera blogs, Opera forums, Opera anything, really. I think it's nice to be able to talk to the people who make it. Also, technical support is very easy to get. Not that I ever needed it.

The security in Opera is way better than Internet Explorer's. This can also be contributed to the fact that more people use IE, so more viruses exist for it, but it's still a lot safer than Internet Exploder. I don't know how it compares to Mozilla though.

All in all, I don't care if you use Mozilla or Opera. As long as you're not using IE cause it is teh sux0r. Seriously, it will make your penis smaller.

Yeah let's hope firefox stays "empty" since that's how I like it, I can plugin the things I need.

I just hope it does not come shipped with an ad blocker, that will be evil and be a big impact on the advertising industry. Popup blocker, yes, but not adblocker.

Man, what's with all the disrespect? This is crazy you guys. I keep seeing the word moron and stuff.

QUOTE
Sometime in the 1.x life cycle there will be Firefox downloads that bundle in the most popular extra features.

Do you work for Mozilla? If they are going to start bundling things, they better still keep an empty one. I would rather just download what I want, than have to uninstall the stuff I don't want.

Let's all get along and dance. dancingbanada.gif ........ Except IE users... Go away. nonono.gif

And what's with all the unregisters? Weird.
